One of the few Indian filmmakers to have led a major studio film as both leading actor and director, with a 35-year body of work and eight 2025-26 international Best Actor wins.
Deepak Tijori built his on-screen reputation in the films that defined a generation of Hindi cinema — Aashiqui, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, Khiladi, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Anjaam, Ghulam and Baadshah — working alongside the directors and stars that shaped the modern industry. As a director he has delivered nine theatrical features including Oops!, Khamoshh, Fareb, Tom Dick and Marry, Fox, Do Lafzon Ki Kahani and 2024's Tipppsy, distributed by Panorama Studios.
In 2024 he received the Dadasaheb Phalke Foundation Award for his contribution as actor and director. In 2025-26 his performance in the short film Echoes of Us won Best Actor at festivals in New York, Berlin, Barcelona, Austin, Los Angeles, Hawaii and across the global short-film circuit — eight wins in twelve months. He leads Alliance Productions India's creative direction and packaging of the international slate.
